Pediatric Therapy Specialists of Atlanta was founded in 2002 by Jennifer Morris-Scott, MA, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist. Jennifer is  licensed and certified in the state of Georgia and currently holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).


Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Florida State University. She worked in Outpatient Rehab at Egleston Children’s Hospital. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Northwestern University, focusing on Early Intervention and feeding and swallowing. Upon graduation, Jennifer worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta before moving fully into home health and forming Pediatric Therapy Specialists of Atlanta.


Over the next 2 decades, Jennifer worked exclusively with pediatrics in homes, schools and daycares. She has treated a large variety of children with differential diagnoses, including but not limited to prematurity, failure to thrive, mitochondrial disorder, micrognathia, microcephaly, hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, hearing impairment, visual impairment, autism spectrum disorder, and seizure disorder.


Jennifer enjoys integrating targeted skills into a family’s lifestyle and has worked with children from a multitude of backgrounds and cultures. She has extensive knowledge and experience working with oral motor and feeding/swallowing skills. In addition, she has specialized in working with young children. She is certified as an instructor in the Hanen program and enjoys integrating those techniques regularly into her sessions.
